Why do the Satanic Cults (Catholicism, Mormonism, Jeh. Witnesses) feel that John 15:18 was written for them?
Is it a common motif for cults to think that John 15:18 was written for them? John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Since you are not followers of Christ and God has not chosen you to be part of His Elect (John 6:44), How DARE you say that this verse was written for hell-bound, demon-possessed rebels such as YOURSELF– you are committing the ultimate, smash-mouth blasphemy without realizing it
Well, let’s see…..When this was written there were no other Christians than Catholic Christians. In fact, there would not be any Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses for another 1800 years. The facts are that Jesus only founded one Church and prayed that we all be one within that same Church.
Now as for rebels who would this describe but the Protestants who rebelled against Christ’s Church. They were prophesied as those who would no longer be able to endure the sound doctrine within His Church and gather around them false teachers who satisfied their itching ears. Names like Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Joseph Smith,Charles Taze Russell, Ellen G. White, Jim Jones, Jim Baker, David Koresh and etc. come to mind. Of course, there are 30,000+ more names of founders of counterfeit churches doing the work of Satan with their exponentially increasing schisms. The founder of the Catholic Church is Jesus and since He spoke the words that are written and the words that you quote He was speaking of the Catholic Church. (and did you know that the word "Sundae" came about because of Christian "blue laws" that didn’t want stores to be open on Sundays and such? Protestants believe in Jesus Christ, so do Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, JW’s and Catholics. Although I do not agree with some of these Christian denominations’ dogma; their belief in Jesus is really all that matters. It hurts the cause of Jesus to have different CHRISTIAN denominations bashing one another. Let’s embrace what we have in common…not our dogmatic differences. BTW I attend Baptist Church, but I do not agree with all their doctrines either.

i’m guessing your some branch of christianity and i’m mormon but do you realize catholicism was the first church formed after the killing of the apostles? So if you want to use debate and argument then your flawed because everything else has come after catholic formation, even your church, so you could easily argue it was talking about the catholics not your church members. First off, Mormons and Catholics are NOT satanic cults!. And if you would only take the time to read the full name of the Mormons (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) you would realize that they DO follow Christ and God. God isn’t just smitten with a few religions, and there have been many more added to our world since the bible was written. Does it mean they are automatically bad or false? NO. Religions are simply different variations of the same concepts. So before you go off with your idiotic assumptions, get your facts straight. And second, no one has said that that verse was written for them!!! I don’t know what idiot told you that, but they are wrong. (once again with the facts..)
