I know the definition of “cult”. The denotation of the term is not really at all uncomfortable. The connotations, however, could be a little “pejorative. Do you agree? When it comes to cults, it is rarely (if ever) in a positive way. Satanic cult talk, even if they are illegal and hidden . The cults are seen in a negative light because of the associations that people generally have with the term. Once again, the real meaning of the term itself is neutral, but the deductions associated with it are bad. Other religions are also known for their secrecy, and secrecy raises suspicions of the people (in some cases, correctly). Christianity is really a cult? Maybe. What are the characteristics of a cult? In many cases, cults tend to isolate people from others. They ask that the disciples did not question their leaders. Cults try to control people by insidious means. None of the above can be found in Christianity tradizionale.Il problem I was with people who claim that Christianity is a “sect”, and are motivated by malicious reasons.
